box.2srv.io
Powered by Firecracker · Hosted on NeuroCluster

Instant Linux VMs,
one SSH command away.

Persistent Firecracker microVMs with full SSH access. Boot in under a second, resume in milliseconds, fork in <100ms. Built for developers and AI agents.

$ ssh box.2srv.io new

Add your SSH key first → ssh box.2srv.io key add

Instant Boot

Firecracker microVMs start in under 1 second. No containers — a real Linux kernel with full isolation.

Pause to Zero

Pause any running VM and it costs nothing. Resume in sub-milliseconds — memory state fully preserved.

Fork in <100ms

Create an exact clone of any running VM — memory, disk, processes — in under 100 milliseconds.

Full Isolation

KVM-level isolation. Each VM gets its own kernel, network, and disk. No shared namespaces.

Public HTTPS

Every VM gets a unique subdomain. Expose any port publicly via the built-in frp tunnel.

Agent-Native

Designed for AI agents. REST API, structured JSON output, SSH key auth — no browser required.

Command Reference

01Setup

ssh box.2srv.io key add

Register your SSH public key (paste when prompted)

ssh box.2srv.io key list

List all your registered keys

ssh box.2srv.io key remove <fingerprint>

Remove a specific key

02VM Lifecycle

ssh box.2srv.io new

Spin up a new Ubuntu 24.04 VM (2vCPU · 8GB RAM · 100GB disk)

ssh box.2srv.io new --name myapp

Create a VM with a specific name

ssh box.2srv.io new --cpu 4 --ram 16

Create a VM with custom resources

ssh box.2srv.io list

List all your VMs and their current state

ssh box.2srv.io connect myapp

Open an interactive shell in a running VM

ssh box.2srv.io pause myapp

Snapshot and pause a VM (zero cost while paused)

ssh box.2srv.io resume myapp

Resume a paused VM in milliseconds

ssh box.2srv.io delete myapp

Permanently delete a VM and its disk

03Fork

ssh box.2srv.io fork myapp myapp-test

Clone a running VM in <100ms — exact copy of memory & disk

ssh box.2srv.io fork myapp staging

Fork to a different name

Forked VMs are fully independent. Changes in the fork do not affect the original. Ideal for testing, CI pipelines, and agent sandboxes.

04Direct SSH Access

ssh [email protected]

SSH directly into your VM using its subdomain

curl https://myapp.box.2srv.io

Each VM gets a public HTTPS subdomain (port 80)

For AI Agents

Agent-native by design

Box exposes a full REST API for programmatic VM management. Agents can create, inspect, fork, pause, and delete VMs without any human interaction. All responses are structured JSON. Authentication is via SSH public key — no browser, no OAuth flow.

1

Register your agent's SSH key

ssh box.2srv.io key add
2

Create a sandbox VM

ssh box.2srv.io new --name agent-sandbox-$(date +%s)
3

Run your workload via SSH

ssh root@agent-sandbox-*.box.2srv.io 'bash -s' < script.sh
4

Fork for parallel tasks

ssh box.2srv.io fork agent-sandbox agent-fork-1
5

Pause when idle, resume instantly

ssh box.2srv.io pause agent-sandbox

REST API available at https://box.2srv.io/api/v1/ — use X-API-Key header with your token from the dashboard. Endpoints: GET /vms, POST /vms, POST /vms/:id/fork, POST /vms/:id/pause.

How it works

1

You connect via SSH

The SSH router at box.2srv.io authenticates you by your registered public key and parses the command from the SSH argv.

2

Firecracker boots your VM

A microVM is created from an Ubuntu 24.04 base image using overlayfs for copy-on-write disk snapshots. Boot time: <1s.

3

You get a subdomain

An frp tunnel connects your VM to *.box.2srv.io. SSH in directly or expose any HTTP port publicly.
